Pre-arrangement

Today more people recognize how planning their funeral in advance is a part of estate planning. This thoughtful act reduces the stresses of indecision and uncertainty on the part of survivors when a death occurs.

There are many good reasons to plan in advance. First, there may be no one who is capable of making decisions on a person's behalf. Secondly, for the peace of mind in knowing that adequate funds will be available to cover funeral expenses. And finally, it allows for an open discussion among family members to express their thoughts and feelings in planning a meaningful and affordable memorial service.

Pre-arrangements can be made at your convenience, in your home or at the funeral home. At this time, information will be gathered regarding the type of services you may choose, information for newspaper notices, and statistical information necessary for completing death certificates. Options regarding types of services and costs can be discussed in detail and should you choose to prefund the services, convenient payment plans are offered.  Also under North Carolina law, all monies deposited for pre-payment are protected. If you should choose another funeral home or move to another area, Andrews Mortuary would release the funds deposited to the servicing funeral home at the time of need.
